New poster for We Need to Talk About Kevin is eerie, effective.
Probably one of the freakiest, and at the same time, powerful posters I've ever seen, the new We Need to Talk About Kevin addition features a baby with tiny horns, and a spiked tail, in the womb of his mother Eva (played by Tilda Swinton). We gave this a perfect score of 5/5 in our review last month, be sure to read the review.
This is now the 10th poster for the film.
Oscilloscope Laboratories distributes the thriller/drama which opens on January 27th, and is helmed by Lynne Ramsay, from the script by Katherine Fugate based on the best-selling novel of the same name.
We Need to Talk About Kevin is a suspenseful and gripping psychological thriller which explores the factious relationship between a mother and her evil son. Tilda Swinton, in a bracing, tour-de-force performance, plays the mother, Eva, as she contends for 15 years with the increasing malevolence of her first-born child, Kevin (Ezra Miller).
The film explores nature vs. nurture on a whole new level as Eva's own culpability is measured against Kevin's innate evilness. Ramsay's masterful storytelling simultaneously combines a provocative moral ambiguity with a satisfying and compelling narrative, which builds to a chilling, unforgettable climax.
