Coen Brothers Talking To Garrett Hedlund for INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS!

Tron: Legacy and Country Strong lead Garrett Hedlund recently signed with Warner Bros. to play the main role Kaneda on their big budget, live-action adaptation of the classic manga Akira. The latest in a series of production delays freed up space in Hedlund’s work schedule and he quickly joined filmmaker siblings Joel and Ethan Coen for their 1960s folk music drama INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS.

       Variety reported that Hedlund, who showed his musical talents in Country Strong, joined Justin Timberlake as Jim, a folk musician married to Jean (Carey Mulligan) and a friend to the titular character Llewyn Davis (Oscar Isaac), who's modeled after the folk singer Dave Van Ronk.

      Inside Llewyn Davis would be the follow-up movie from the Coen brothers to their acclaimed Western remake True Grit starring Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges.

      Producer Scott Rudin confirmed the start of production for Inside Llewyn Davis in New York City. 

      Fans, are you still hopeful to still see Hedlund as Kaneda in Akira? Are you confident that Warners will iron out the problems and move forward with the movie?
