Robert Lorenz to direct Trouble with the Curve, starring Clint Eastwood
Pic marks the feature directorial debut Lorenz, Clint Eastwood's partner in Malpaso. Deadline reports that the project being scripted by Randy Brown tells of an aging baseball scout, struggling with losing his sight, who goes on a final road trup to Atlanta accompanied by his daughter, in order to scout a hotshot prospect.
Eastwood will also produce Trouble with The Curve alongside Lorenz via Malpaso.
Eastwood was last seen in 2008's crime drama Gran Torino as well as Hilary Swank Academy Award-winner Million Dollar Baby, which he also directed. His J. Edgar biopic starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Watts, Dermot Mulroney, Josh Lucas and Armie Hammer, opens November 9th.
A Star is Born would have been a follow up to J. Edgar, but Beyonce's pregnancy put that project away, for now.
