Alan Ball's drama series BANSHEE gets Cinemax series order

Banshee by True Blood creator Alan Ball gets series order via Cinemax
 
Cinemax has ordered 10 episodes of the Jonathan Tropper and David Schicker-scripted Banshee, which is being that will be executive produced by Ball, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
 
The drama tells of a criminal who steps into the identity of the Banshee, Penn. and continues his shady ways while gangsters of his past continue hunt him.
 
Greg Yaitanes (House) will helm the pilot as well as executive produce alongside Peter Macdissi, Tropper, Schickler and Ball.
 
The ever-popular True Blood is currently in production for its fifth season.
