
Forest Whitaker in Universal Pictures "Repo Men."
Forest Whitaker is in talks to star in"Little Treasure" which is an independent drama set to be filmed on location in Shanghai. Story tells of an American couple who return to the wife's homeland of China.
Project starts filming location next month and is being financed by Belltower Entertainment and Amalgamation Entertainment. Michael D. Olmos (Tom Sizemore starrer "Splinter") is attached to direct.
In the story, the couple deals with prejudices, humor, cultural differences and self-discovery as they meet a Shanghai street kid who changes their lives.
Josh Goldstein (Disney's "Jungle Cruise," "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air") wrote the screenplay. Forest Whitaker can be seen in the current and appalling "Our Family Wedding" from Fox Searchlight Pictures and the upcoming science fiction actioner "Repo Men" with Jude Law.
