Brittany Snow ("Hairspray, "Prom Night") has been cast to star as the lead role in the upcoming indie drama "96 Minutes" for writer/director, Aimee Lagos.
Lee Clay and Justin Moore-Lewy are producing. Shooting begins May 17 in Atlanta.
The film centers on two high school students who must prove their toughness by committing a hijacking for a gang initiation. In the process, they hold two college girls hostage and try to figure out the best way to get out of the situation without ending up in jail.
Brittany Snow is set to play the role of a 21-year-old college student who prefers to stay in and do work as opposed to party and drink.
Snow recently wrapped production on the feature "Janie Jones" alongside Abigail Breslin in addition to the David E. Kelley pilot "Kindreds" opposite Kathy Bates for NBC.
