
Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" topped the charts for a second weekend in a row.
"Alice In Wonderland" topped the box office for a second consecutive weekend, showing an average 47% change. Tim Burton-helmed film from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has accumulated over $208.6 million domestically thus far and over $221 million from international sales.
Matt Damon starrer "Green Zone" finished in second place with $14.5 million from 3,003 locations. Paul Greengrass' nauseating-to-watch thriller averaged $4,840 per theater.
Third-placed "She's Out of My League" comedic romance found mediocre support in its opening weekend run with $9.6 from 2,956 theaters. Jay Baruchel, Maxim cover girl Alice Eve and Krysten Ritter star.
In fourth, Summit Entertainment's "Remember Me" starring Robert Pattinson and Emilie De Ravin, managed a solid $8.2 million from 2,212 venues.
Finishing off the top five films this weekend, Martin Scorsese's "Shutter Island" starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kinsley, made $8.1 million, bringing its domestic total to over $108 million.
The top 12 films this year made $128.9 million vs. 2009's $87.7 million. This is the third "up" weekend in a row after a down weekend.
