2011 Oscar Winners! THE KING'S SPEECH Tops. Complete List of Academy Awards Winners.

02/28/2011 by Peter Dimako   Source: A.M.P.A.S.

The King's Speech topped the 2011 Oscar Winners, claiming Best Picture, Best Actor for Colin Firth and Best Director for Tom Hooper.  Natalie Portman claimed her Academy Award for Best Actress in Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan.

Melissa Leo raised eyebrows by becoming the first person to use the F word during an acceptance speech (confirmed by the Academy) for her part in The Fighter, saying: "Really, really, really, wow. When I watched Kate (Winslet) two years ago, it looked so fucking easy!"

Christian Bale also took him his Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for The Fighter. Fans of True Grit were left disappointed with the western not winning a single award out of 10 nominations.

The exceptional Inception from Warner Bros. landed 4 Academy Award wins including Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing and Best Visual Effects.
